Martin Davies:

Born: Perth, Western Australia, 1970.

Accepted into a special art program from aged 13 at Applecross High School in Perth. Studied for a degree in Architecture in Canberra, and later graduated in Sydney.

Arrived in Canada in 1996 on a bit of an odyssey adventure. Took a studio in Gastown 1998-99 to work on some larger paintings. Held a number of shows at both his home, and friends gallery between 96-99.

Concentrating on paintings from 2000 thru to 2004. A period marred by crisis.

Returned to Australia in 2004. Held a show at the Tap Gallery, and won best painting at the Sydney Mardi Gras Art prize.

Returned to Vancouver in late 2005. Currently involved in Art for Life, as well as other intriguing new projects.
